Happy first day of Fall everyone!! Just wanted to share a card I made this week using Mojo Mondays sketch 207. My goal is to use some of my retired items--so I pulled out this adorable stamp set: Fall For All, this sweet little boy playing in the leaves-- soooo reminds me of my 2 boys--before long they will be playing in the leaves too! The card is Cajun Craze with More Mustard textured with the square lattice folder, designer paper is Autumn Spice (retired) and other card stock used: old olive and Chocolate Chip. Punches: Scallop oval and small oval in center of greeting. Ribbon: Chocolate chip double stitched grosgrain (also retired). All products used on this card are from Stampin Up!. My very first Let's Scrap Sketch layout!! I have been following their site for a few weeks and love it!! Using their 7-6-11 sketch for my 2011 Upward Basketball season--Nathan had such fun--he made some new friends and they played so well on the court! Thank goodness for retired colors: Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango; Stamp sets: Just Basketball (retired) and Slam Dunk; Punches: Large and small stars, circles.
Another sketch from Mojo Monday--Really loved this sketch so I made 2 cards using a retired stamp set from Stampin Up!: Pun Fun. The designer papers are also retired--Maine Blueberry and Georgia Peach. I added texture with embossing folders polka dots and square lattice. Card stock: Old Olive, Night of navy, Bashful Blue, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and So Saffron. Ribbons: Pink Striped grosgrain and 1/4" Night of Navy. Also used lots of punches: small and large stars, Boho blossoms, scallop trim border, and spiral border. Thanks for looking!!

I made this thank you card for my son's baseball coaches--East Rowan Diamond Sports "Tigers"!! We have been with these coaches since T-ball and sadly this was our last year in coach pitch. Chuck, Thad, and Mark you are super coaches, dads and men--I appreciate the positive coaching, love and dedication given to our team through the years. And what a team you have "raised"--undefeated seasons 2 years in a row; 2) Championships and 2) All Star Championships!! You will be greatly missed!
I used the stamp set: Homerun and Extreme Elements, Punches: Star, circle; Embossing Folder: Squared lattice, Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Not Quite Navy.
I had the ladies stamping and punches LOTS of petals in this class!! Using the Build a Petal stamp set and matching petals punch they made beautiful flowers accented with pearls and swirly leaves. Designer Paper: Greenhouse Gala, Card stock: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight. Also used the Scallop Circle Big Shot die for the journal box.
Wow what a wonderful week of classes!! The ladies had such a fun time making items with Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper, which is sadly retiring this month. LOVE this paper, so beautiful and sad to see it go. In this class we used what else, but the BIG SHOT! Lately, I can't seem to make much without it. The scallop cards are cut from the Scallop Square and Scallop Circle dies, Embossing folders: Polka dots and Elegant Lines, Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Punches: Word Window and Modern Label, Card stock: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight; Ribbon: Daffodil Delight Satin and Early Espresso Grosgrain.
I have been following Mojo Monday Sketches for months...and finally my FIRST card using their WONDERFUL sketch. I am determined to use up my stock pile of retired designer paper and this sketch is perfect! The "stripes" are 1x4 in Spring Showers Stampin Up! dp (still love that print); scallops in bashful blue and cut with trims big shot die; sahara sand strip is embossed using dotted embossing folder. Stamp set is Four Frames--a new stamp set from the 2011-2012 Stampin Up! Catalog. Flower punch is Boho blossom; leaves from the bird punch and accented with a pearl. Ribbon is Early espresso taffeta. I loved making this card and hope you find inspiration too!

SAIL AWAY....love this stamp and even better it is only $9.95 in the Summer mini Catalog!! Colors: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy; Twine and Red stripe ribbon; modern label, window, and large oval #42. I tried a new technique on this card: embossed Night of Navy with square lattice folder and punched the oval to put behind the modern label punch--such a nice change to these punches.
The second card we made this week using Loads of Love--true classic--I have used this set so many times through the years and yet, I love it more each time!! Colors: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, and Elegant Soiree designer paper. Embossed with square lattice folder; truck wheels/hub caps are silver brads and crystal effects on the window and Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon. The ladies loved the window idea!!

This Sunday is a very special day celebrating mom's--so to all my stamping friends: Happy Mother's Day!
This card was made at April's monthly card class featuring the stamp set "Because I Care" hostess set. The colors are rich razzleberry, pretty n pink, whisper white. The Hydrangea is stamped on the card first with rich razzleberry and certainly celery on the stem. On a separate piece of whisper white, stamp the flower part of the Hydrangea in razzleberry again. Then using the Boho Blossoms punch--smallest flower--punch out 6-8 petals. Using dimensionals apply these to the first stamped Hydrangea. Apply 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds glitter and see the beautiful sparkle!! Thanks to all the ladies who came to share this card with me!!
My son Nathan was invited to a birthday party of a huge football fan! He plays it, watches it, and basically breathes it! he he. So I came up with this using the stamp set Touchdown, chocolate chip, crumb cake, Night of Navy and Bashful Blue card stock. I textured the background with the Big Shot Square Lattice embossing folder and added Night of Navy ribbon. I have not made a sports card in quite some time....makes me want to get started on my MANY sports scrappin pages that need to be completed!! Have a great day!

WOW, what a class! I had the most energetic women at my class on Saturday. They lifted my heart and spirits...thank you ladies for coming and enjoying my love of stampin and scrappin!! We made a spring/Easter layout featuring the stamp set Easter Blossoms. This set is available in the Spring Mini Catalog through April 30th. And it has become one of my favs! We used colors: Baja Breeze and crumb cake; Spring Vintage Designer paper (also from the mini catalog), used the Big shot oval scallop frame and Tasteful trims. The Tasteful trims is a fabulous carryover item # 120893 (it is not in the big catalog at this time but is available). Using this die is how we made the scallops. Which can also make a fabulous card too as you can see.
Build a Blossom is in the Stampin Up! Occasions Mini Catalog and I just love it! The best part is you do not have to cut out each petal--there is a punch available for that! LOVE IT! Makes it so quick to make a card. This card was made at my monthly card class last week. We used whisper white, pear pizzazz, rich razzleberry and pretty-n-pink card stock; pearls and pear pizzazz stitched ribbon; background is embossed with the Big Shot square lattice embossing folder. The Easter Wishes greeting is from Something to Celebrate level 2 hostess set available in the mini also. I will post the 2nd card from the class in a few days...hope you check back soon!

These are the two cards we made in my monthly card class: Lovely as a Tree and Owl punch card. Aren't these owls just adorable?!? It does take just a little patience to piece them together, but the end result is so cute! The "man" card is featuring the stamp set Lovely as a tree, Big Shot die Top Note and Dotted embossing folder, Elegant Soiree designer paper, punches: modern label and window, silver brads and very vanilla satin ribbon, card stock: very vanilla, crumb cake, and soft suede. The Owl card features the owl, pinking heart, itty bitty shapes punches, card stock: old olive, early espresso, soft suede and regal rose, rhinestone and woodland park designer paper. Thanks to everyone who came to class Tuesday evening--we had many laughs, it was such a joy to see everyone and enjoy being creative! These are the two cards we made, a valentine and snow card. The little girl is from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set, the colors are Whisper white and the new in-color Poppy Parade; love this ribbon it is stitched poly-ribbon in Poppy Parade. And of course we embossed with our big shot--finial press and used dazzling diamonds to accent the heart she is holding. Our second card was with Trendy trees--it was powder heat embossed with pearls and satin ribbon.
This class features the set Season of Friendship and is a snow theme. We will emboss, use glitter, punches and the Big Shot to create a beautiful 12x12 2-page layout.
Who would think bugs could be cute?? I just love my Bugs and Kisses stamp set. Also used is the Big Shot top note die, scallop circle punch, I heart hearts stamp set. I simply stamped the grasshopper, hearts, and more bugs free hand. The designer paper is a retired set called Sending Love.
